JUDICIAL REVIEW
A little-known fact about me is that I am a professional musician and have travelled around the world, both as a touring musician and professional curiosity seeker for years prior to attending law school in the United Kingdom. From the United States to Europe, the UK to the Middle East, Asia and Africa, whenever I was asked where I am from, I always had the same reply. ‘I am from the most beautiful country on earth, Canada!’ I would then go on to explain why Canada was truly the most magnificent place on earth, from our landscapes to our people, to the choices and opportunities this great country provides us.
As it turns out, I am not alone in my firm belief! Despite COVID, Canada is not closed to applications for permanent residence, express entry, work permits and VISA’s. If you have family or friends that are looking to make Canada their home, we can help! We help families with their immigration applications, whether you are a family looking to reunite or apply for a work permit, we can help you with your immigration needs!

WILLS
In law, having a power of attorney and a will is the equivalent of ensuring you have put on your emergency oxygen mask AND ensured that those you love are all wearing theirs as well… Or, if you can stand another analogy, you have ensured that your friends and loved ones were left with a strong foundation and a shelter from the storm after your departure.
A will can set out all of your final desires from your funeral arrangements to who will receive your Aunty Betty’s china set, you know, the one your mother insisted you hold on to! Most of all, what a Will does, is ensure that when the unexpected arrives, your wishes have been set out and no one is left behind trying to put together the pieces or imagine what you would have wanted. If COVID has taught us anything, it is that the unexpected will happen. Setting out a Will can be straight forward, but most of all, it affords you the peace of mind that all is in order and that those you love are left in the best care possible. Especially for those of us with children and dependents. It is amazing what planning can do for you peace of mind!
